Free to use No account required Timestamped transcripts included

Step 1: Choose a recording

One file, up to 20 MB and 15 minutes.

This is the web edition.

Your audio leaves your device and is processed on Cloudflare's servers. The source recording is deleted after processing. Transcript results remain available for about one hour, then expire. This does not provide the desktop edition's local or offline privacy model.

Want a more private way to transcribe?

Transcription Dock Desktop is designed to run locally on your computer — even without an internet connection.

Your recordings stay on your device and are processed locally rather than being uploaded to a server. That can make the desktop edition a better option for interviews, research, meetings, client work, student information, and other recordings where privacy or confidentiality matters.

Desktop edition benefits:

  • Audio stays on your computer
  • Transcription runs locally
  • Works offline
  • No per-file uploads
  • No recurring transcription limits
  • Designed for privacy-sensitive work

Why use a timestamped transcript?

A timestamped transcript places time ranges beside sections of text, making it easier to locate a passage in the original recording. This is useful when reviewing interviews, meetings, research recordings, podcasts, and other audio.

Privacy and temporary processing

The free web edition uploads audio to Transcription Dock's Cloudflare infrastructure for processing. Source recordings are deleted after processing, and transcript results remain available for approximately one hour before they expire. There is no account or saved transcript history.
